Someone wrote on the site: "I guess it looks like Alaba goniochila A. Adams, 1860
okutani book plate 63-2". I don't have Okutani.

When I looked at OBIS, it gives the senior name "Alaba translucida (Hedley, 1905)."

I'm having a hard time reconciling with the idea that this taxon is in the same genus as Alaba incerta from the Caribbean region. I like the sound of Styliferina but it seems like that's not compatible with OBIS. Or perhaps Alaba incerta has the wrong placement.

What to do?
