Tsukiji (Tokyo): the world's greatest fish market
Errata corrige

The specimen illustrated on plate 2 figs. 8a-b is not
Anadara globosa ursus (Tanaka, 1959) but Anadara
broughtonii (Schrenck, 1867).
The main difference is the number of ribs which is 34
in A. globosa ursus and 42 in A. broughtonii. As you
can see from the photograph, the specimen found in
Tsukiji has 42 ribs and therefore belongs to
Schrenck’s species.
I thank Mr. Emidio Rinaldi (Forlì, Italy) for his kind
suggestion about this identification mistake.
