Thanks Paul - you got it right!

Duh... I should have looked at my own photo gallery.... I had exact same shells from China some time
ago - it is an Acmaeidae.

I have very similar specimens received from Japan years ago, similar depth,
labeled Pectinodonta rhyssa.
