I typically do most of my collecting in the intertidal to shallow
subtidal zone at a place where the tide goes out several hundred yards.
I have occasionally found some Oliva close to the low tide mark in the
early morning. What about the evening (after dark) low tide? I believe
olives are more or less nocturnal. Could night shelling be more
productive?
