Around 1976 my son (he was the collector then)  purchased two green tree
snails (one yellow) in the Florida Keys for $2.00 each.  The next time we
went back  to the keys I wanted one for myself because I thought that was a
good deal for such a pretty little shell  but there were none for sale
because they had put them on the endangered list.  Ardeth
