I know some of the land snails were picked up by visitors to Cuba from the
former countries that were behind the Iron curton. They were allowed or never
told they couldn't back when they got them. Now things have changed and some
of these collectors are trading these shells with people they were previously
denied contact, or something like that? Of course that's just what I heard.
