A lot of folks would like to send scans of various things to the list, but the list is not set up
to accept them. Since the list is archived, it would be useful to have a semi-permanant place to put
them - a page where anyone can  easily find and view all the scans or photos that folks wished to
share with the list (for non-commercial purposes, of course!!).  If anyone thinks this is a good
idea, i can have such a beastie up and running in a day or so.  Then, you could just send me the
things you wanted the list to take a look at, and i would post them on the page - ie, i will link
them to it (if i just plunked them all down on one page, it would quickly become monster-sized!!).
ALSO, i could make links to any images that people had on their own sites, which folks wanted others
on the list to see: that way, we would have a long-lasting record of them, all in one place!  I
would put a note with each - such as "what is this thing from Hawaii??".  Since i don't intend to go
off-line anytime soon, it would be long-term, and for insurance against catastrophe, i could put up
a mirror-site somewhere else.

P.S.: Just thought of another advantage: if you wanted to look up an image ref. you remembered after
deleting or losing the origional message, you would know exactly where to find it - no fuss no muss,
no bother!!
