Dear all,

I have found regional check lists very useful in tracking that elusive
reference. Many of the more scientifically published lists have reference
lists and full details of the original description. As for keeping a
database... that sounds very useful, but there is one big problem with a
database: that is that for it to be of any use it needs to be maintained,
and somebody (you) has to sit there and do it. Now you have already got a
40 hour+ a week job, a family and other commitments, so any spare time you
have you'd rather spend playing with your shells. Sounds familiar?

Patty

P.S. Yes, from the top, except when you have little kids. They tend to hit
the thing, and the paper all rolls onto the floor, like spaghetti. I got
sick of that, so mounted the roll the other way around. it annoys me, but
at least the paper stays where it belongs!
