Mark, I've asked around, but communications with the Bahamas are apparently
still sporadic. San Salvador sustained some damage at the Bahamian Field
Station and Club Med. The airport is also very low-lying and I would expect
some damage there, though I have heard nothing about it. As to the people,
most of the houses are stone and most of the island is a lot taller than 20
feet, so we can reasonably hope that they weathered the storm successfully.
