I'm on the list for notices from the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission.
This just came in. I think it might behoove us to try to get someone to the
meeting in Marathon to see whether this is something we should concern
ourselves with!
It may just have to do with the aquarium trade but...

ENTRY REPORT AND SPECIAL ACTIVITY LICENSE RULES
CONTACT: Lee Schlesinger (850) 487-0554
The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has scheduled a public
workshop to receive comment
concerning development of FWC's marine life limited entry report to the
governor and legislature. The report,
which is due by July 1, will present options for establishing a limited
entry program for the marine life (aquarium)
fishery.
The Commission also wants to receive public input on proposed changes to
special activity license rules
regarding collection of marine species for scientific, educational and
exhibitional purposes.
The FWC is encouraging the public to participate at the workshop, which
will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 22,
from 1-4 p.m. at the Marathon Governmental Center, 2798 Overseas Highway
(MM 47.5) in Marathon.
