Just a quick list of species of Oliva from the Gulf of Mexico,
according to Rosenberg, Moretzsohn and García (2009):

Oliva circinata Marrat, 1871 - ne & sw GoMx
Oliva finlayi Petuch & Sargent, 1986 - ese GoMx
Oliva formosa Marrat, 1870 - se, ne & sw GoMx
Oliva magdae Petuch & Sargent, 1986 - ese GoMx
Oliva reticularis - se & sw GoMx
Oliva sayana - entire GoMx
Oliva scripta - entire GoMx

The following endnotes from the book are related to the species above:

Oliva circinata: O. sunderlandi Petuch, 1987 (type locality: west of
Cedar Key, Florida) is a synonym; see Sterba (2004). New record for SW
GMx; ID: EFG; coll. R/V Pelican, 15 June 2005, Campeche Bank,
22º05.89'N, 91º22.89'W, 40–42 m, EFG 25872.

Oliva formosa: Regarded as a form of O. reticularis Lamarck, 1811, by
Zeigler and Porreca (1969); as a form of O. bewleyi Marrat, 1870, by
Petuch and Sargent (1986); and a form of O. bifasciata Weinkauff,
1878, by Sterba (2004). The illustration of the holotype of O. formosa
by Tursch and Greifeneder (2001) shows that it is a senior synonym of
O. bifasciata [GR]. New record for SW GMx; ID: EFG; coll. R/V Pelican,
16 June 2005, Campeche Bank, 22º08.76'N, 91º24.00'W, 63–65 m, EFG
25820.

Oliva sayana: O. sayana sarasotensis Petuch and Sargent, 1986 (type
locality: approximately 15 km due west of Lido Beach, Sarasota,
Florida) and O. sayana texana Petuch and Sargent, 1986 (type locality:
Padre Island, Texas) are synonyms; see Sterba (2004); listed in the
original Bulletin 89 (Rehder 1954).

Oliva scripta: O. caribaeensis Dall and Stimpson, 1901, is a synonym;
see Tursch and Greifeneder (2001).
