Dear Steve and other locality buffs,
It may be that the place name is an odd transliteration of a locality
from which I had number of East African shells, many endemic: Kisamayo,
Somalia <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kismayo>.
Many place-names in Mozambique are of Portuguese origin, but doubled
letters are very rare in that language.
