Subject: Information on ordering NWI maps
Sender: "John A. Stevenson" <[log in to unmask]>

A link to an order form from my maps web page went dead and I learned
that ordering information on National Wetlands Inventory maps has moved
to a new URL.

According to National Wetlands Inventory staff,
"Beginning Friday September 13, 2002, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service,
National Wetlands Inventory Center will no longer be selling their maps
through the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Both sites are currently
updating information on obtaining NWI maps, that is why you are not
finding that particular information. You can obtain the most current
information as how to obtain NWI maps by visiting the National Wetlands
Inventory website at http://www.nwi.fws.gov ."

I'm posting this in the hope this will help direct users to the current
information. For those of us maintaining map subject pages, this new
page should be a help.
