Alice --
You never should have left Tennessee!! Actually, this is a REAL New
England winter and quite beautiful when you get OUT of the city - that's
Alice's problem, she can't get out of NYC. The countryside is quite
extraordinary with wonderful white landscapes, beautiful pines and the
skiing has been unbelievable. This is what the Northeast is all about.

* jet stream (humor?
I had heard last fall that a bad, snowy winter was in store for Utah. Sounds
like the Winter Winds failed Geography in school. That or they miserably
failed Spelling. Utah -- New York. Nope, no similarity. Not even a common
letter! Good luck, Alice.

Alice (and other frozen Easterners):
You have my sympathy; may we have your snow in exchange? After 7 of 8 years of
drought (even by our semi-arid standards), we need - and would appreciate
all you could reroute- Thanks. Linda Newman, University of Nevada, Reno.
