RE: SOUTHEAST EGYPT - seeking maps
check with Lib. Of Congress. They sometimes have maps of larger scale
than the 1:250,000. They may be older vintage but should do. Another
possible source would be Robert Bier with the USGS, Geologic Div.'s
Cartographic Info. Center in Reston Va. His phone # is 703 648-6207.
Hiss Div has exchange pgm's with other countries for thematic maps.
Div. has exchange pgm's with other countries for thematic maps and
may have coverage of SE Egypt. They have a list of local copy outfits
that are authorized to take the originals and make copies at a charge.
Some have color and b/w capabilities. They deal directly with you the
customer for all costs. The Lib. Of Congress also has reproduction
capabilities and will let you know their charges.

Re: SOUTHEAST EGYPT - seeking maps
The AMS series P502, North Africa 1:25,000 covers part of the area
you need and series Y502, East Africa covers the other part. The
Univ. of Mich. has these sets and I'm sure many more depository
libraries have them.
