Dear all,
Our Map Collection has been donated a framed copy of a map titled "Nyasaland
Protectorate, Central Africa". It is drawn at a scale of 8.89 miles to one
inch. At the bottom of the map is the name Helen Maclaren R.O.I. The map
was printed in England by Vincent Brooks, Day & Son, London. The map
measures 60 x 147cm. and shows rivers, communications, and numerous
delightful sketches of people, animals, birds and a few buildings.
Does anyone know anything more about this map, please. I guess it must have
been published after 1907, because that is when Nyasaland acquired its name.
