The New York Public Library Map Division has maps of Germany and Poland at
1:25,000 of various dates (probably mostly WW II and before).  For Germany we
have more extensive coverage than for Poland, but incomplete in both cases.
The reader can contact us by phone at 212-930-0587, or by mail or e-mail if
there are a lot of locations to be checked.
