Last month (I think it was around the 9th/10th) I wrote two rather
extensive notes about color printers in response to Barbara Farrell's
(Carleton U) request for comments.  Those pretty much apply to what
you're asking about with the distinction that you'd require the MAC
interface from whatever printer you get rather than the PC interface
(a trivial difference in my view since most everybody now supports
both).  You should be able to extract those notes from the Listserve
archive.
