----------------------------Original message----------------------------
Hello All,
Yesterday, I received a mailing from NOAA (the Geophysical
Data Center in Boulder, CO) about a map for sale. At the same time,
I recall reading a forwarded message from our head of Documents on
the documents meeting in Chicago that mentioned that NOAA had printed
their last map. It seems to me that a lot of the GDC digital
information is only being made available on CD-ROM (for purchase, not
through the Depository Library Program). This data does not
appear to be available on the Web or Internet, either. Can the CUAC
representative for NOAA please enlighten us on what, if any, plans
NOAA has to start making this data available to the public? Or is
NOAA the start of things to come? Just Curious, Linda Zellmer
