Subject: Decimal Degree Conversion
Sender: Dan Foley <[log in to unmask]>
Hello,
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows about
a formula or converter for converting decimal degrees
(DD) to degrees/minutes/seconds (DMS). (MetaMaker has
a DMS to DD converter, but not DD to DMS).
I am editing the MARC view of some Dublin Core records
that I created in CORC for about 50 geospatial data
sets which also have FGDC metadata. I used the FGDC
west, east, north, and south bounding coordinate data
in the DC Coverage element.
However, these data have to be in DMS for the MARC 034
and 255 fields in the Maps format, hence my question.
Sincerely,
Dan
