Cheryl Woods asked for a map showing distribution of AIDS.  I don't know of
a single sheet map.  However, there are several books on the subject which
have good maps.  They are:
 
Gould, Peter.  THE SLOW PLAGUE, A GEOGRAPHY OF THE AIDS PENDEMIC.  Oxford,
U.K. and Cambridge, USA, Blackwell Publishers, 1993.
 
Smallman-Raynor, Matthew.  ATLAS OF AIDS.  Oxford, UK; Cambridge, USA,
Blackwell Publishers, 1992.
 
We have both at Penn State, available through Interlibrary Loan (the Gould
book is circulating right now).
