Orienteering maps show at such large scales those aspects of veg. that are
important to runners.
There are several of them produced in Canada and we sent some to Barcelona ICA
exhibit.
In the 19th C there are many examples of maps of parks & gardens, and
countryside at large scale (including Quebec City) done by the British Ordnance
Survey as the Fortification plans in Canada and for all major towns in UK to a
scale of 1:500.

I am looking for examples of vegetation maps (any type, any region) at
very large scale, between 1:500 and 1:1 000 (yes, five hundred to one
thousand), for a book on ecological mapping. We want samples to illustrate
cartographic techniques and symbols used for those scales. It could be a
map of a forest in urbanized areas, an estate, a park, an experimental
forest, a research projet. Color or monochrome. Any idea? Thanks.
