Stephen,
Historic Urban Plans out of Ithaca, New York sells just the kind of
map you're looking for. I know they have Knoxville and Memphis, but I'm
not sure that they have Nashville. They do, however, specialize in
historic reproductions. You can receive a catalog by writing or
calling:
Historic Urban Plans
Box 276
Ithaca, New York

You can get reproductions of outdated/superseded USGS maps. Call 703 860
6045. In 1910, the topo map would probably have been a 15-minute (1:63,500
scale) map, which would show very few street names. Also, the
black-and-white reproduction will have distracting contour lines, which
will be frequent in hilly Nashville.
A better bet might be to see what's available in Nashville collections
(central public library; Vanderbilt Univ.; state library) and inquire about
custom reproduction or xerography of that.
