As far as I know Innovative Interfaces OPACs cannot handle the degree
sign, ASCII {192}. I just edit them out, so, e.g.
Scale 1:4,000,000. 1 cm. = 40 km. ; Conic equal-interval proj.
(E 190--W 1680/N 860--N 410)
appears as
Scale 1:4,000,000. 1 cm. = 40 km. ; Conic equal-interval proj.
(E 19--W 168/N 86--N 41)
