I am a relatively new map enthusiast interested in learning more about maps.
Can anyone recommend an 'easy reading' book on maps, map types,
classifications, etc?
My particular interests are:
1) pictorial(?) maps - those that give perspective of land, buildings, etc.
in 3-D.
2) historical maps of the U.S. - primarily for cities (NYC and Philadelphia
are of particular interest).
3) digital maps and satellite photos (one I saw of Boston comes to mind).
TIA,
Pete
