Thank you very much for your answer. I have passed the information on
to the patron. I think she wants to pursue who exactly the owners
were.

The locality (rather than town) of Twidwell Bend in British Columbia
is at the confluence of the Pine and Sukunka rivers, in the Peace
River District near Chetwynd. In our records we have noted that it
was used on maps in 1949; it was also included (as a community) in
the "Gazetteer of Canada: British Columbia" in 1952 and has appeared
in subsequent editions. It seems to have been named after the person
who owned these lots in the early 1930s.

A patron has noticed that the town of Twidwell Bend in British
Columbia only started appearing in the Rand McNally road atlas with
the 1980 edition. It does not appear in the official BC gazetteer
edition that I have from the 1970's. She would like to know when the
town started or was named that and why it was named that or who it was
named for. Can anyone up there help please?
