UC Berkeley, Geography Department map sale
Due to space constrictions and fire codes, the Geography Department
at UC Berkeley is selling off a significant portion of its map
collection. The sale is scheduled for 3 November, but those
interested in making bulk purchases may contact me prior via e-mail
or telephone.
Items included are:
- 15 minute USGS quadrangles of all states except the following: CA,
OR, WA, NV, AZ, AK and HI. This collection includes many different
editions, dating from the 1920s. There is no guarantee that any state
set is complete.
- Army Map Service, 1:1,000,000 sheets with world-wide coverage. No
guarantee of completeness.
- USGS 1:250,000 sheets with Continental US coverage, sans CA. No
guarantee of completeness.
- Many nautical charts from the 19th century.
- A fine collection of 18th & 19th century maps of Spain and Portugal.
- Limited edition reproductions of US city urban plans.
- Rolled wall maps culled from the department's active teaching collection.
