Alice,
thanks for the warning.
we're using WEB links via Infomine Maps/GIS
http://lib-www.ucr.edu/mapsinfo.html
There are half-a-dozen other gazetteers of possible interest. that
works for us. LC

Ahem, mapsters,
We are having no end of trouble getting the GNIS cd and its update to
work on our new Windows95 loaded PC.
Has anyone else had this problem? Our Systems people say we will crash
the hard drive, etc., etc. if we TRY to load it. GNIS techies say, oh
it will be o.k. [but we haven't tried ourselves..]
Help! Thanks again for your various valuable insights,
Alice Hudson
