'British Globes up to 1850: A Provisional Inventory'
Richard Dunn and Helen Wallis
***************************************************
Copies of this inventory are now available, free of charge. It
provides a summary listing of 671 distinct variants of globes
produced in Britain before 1850. There are three sequences -
alphabetical by author, date and diameter - and a bibliography.
The aim is to expand the inventory into a systematic 'Catalogue
of British Globes'. Those who use the inventory are encouraged
to submit corrections and additions.
The inventory has already been sent out to all members of the
Scientific Instrument Society, whose assistance is gratefully
acknowledged. If you would like a free copy of the Inventory (to
be sent by surface mail) please send mailing details to the
undersigned.
* It would be helpful if you told us where you saw this notice *
