The list can be reached by mailing --> [log in to unmask]
Subscribe by typing --> SUBSCRIBE GIS-L Your Name
in the body of the
message
It can be a VERY active list at times and can eat up a lot
of disk space quickly if not monitored carefully.
Have a nice day,

Re: GIS-L
Sure Arlyn,
Send email to [log in to unmask] You can leave the Subject:
field blank. On the first line of your message, put the following:
SUBSCRIBE GIS-L Arlyn Sherwood
And then send it. You'll get email back explaining all the details and how
to get the archived news, etc. But be forwarned... it's a very active
group, and if you don't check your mail every day you'll soon see over 100
messages there (about 30 message/day)
If you have access to USEnet, then the group name is comp.infosystems.gis
and you'll see the same news there, but this way your mailbox will stay
clear.
