SUMMARY
Bluegrass GIS, Inc., a fast growing GIS implementation services firm
located in Frankfort, Kentucky, has an immediate opening for a Sr.
GIS Analyst. We are looking for the right individual to join our
experienced team of GIS professionals implementing a cutting edge
ARC/INFO 8 based GIS at a major electric utility. This is a long
term assignment ( 3 - 5 years ) requiring relocation to Frankfort,
Kentucky, and will require traveling approximately one week per month.
Bluegrass GIS consultants operate from offices in their homes. The
company supplies all hardware, software, phone lines, web
connections, cell phones, office furniture/equipment, etc. This
allows Bluegrass GIS to keep overhead at a minimum which is in turn
passed on to our clients through lower rates. It also provides our
staff with a tremendous amount of personal freedom and flexibility.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Extensive knowledge of ARC/INFO and ArcView. Extensive application
development experience using AML, Avenue, and Visual Basic, as well
as the desire and ability to master all aspects of ARC/INFO 8, SDE,
the creation of custom COM objects, VBA, and GUI customization. This
position must have experience with GIS database design, data
conversion, quality control, database administration, technical
support, user documentation, and user training.
Experience with MapObjects, IMS, Oracle, ARC/INFO Map Librarian,
INFO, ArcStorm, and SDE will be given the highest consideration.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform
traditional GIS consulting tasks such as conducting workshops and
client interviews, and have the ability to perform and author GIS
needs and situation assessments, GIS system and database designs,
data conversion plans, GIS hardware, software, and data conversion
procurement documents, and client proposals.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Required.
