Subject: NYPL map exhibit closes Saturday

FYI mapsters,
The current exhibit on early English maps and charts, and one neat
pair of celestial and terrestrial globes, closes Saturday. Folk in the
New York metro area are invited to come on in to town to see it today
or tomorrow, between 10 and 6, in the Humanities and Social Sciences
Library, NYPL, at 5th Avenue and 42nd Street.
The New York Times today, in their "Last Chance" listing, happily
described the exhibit as "a fabulous ride" and noted, "luckily the
intellectual richness is balanced by the visual richness of the maps."
And no, I did not pay them to say that...
So see? Ya gotta have it! Come on down! Or visit NYPL's website at
www.nypl.org to see a portion of the exhibit on the web.
