Map Coll.
Univ. of Iowa Libraries
USA
In case it may help others searching for French (i.e. ex-colonial)
mapping, I can supply the IMW-based sheet number for the map sheet
containing the Presqu'ile Bakasi at 1:200 000. Sheet NB-32-III/IV
'Buea - Ndian' [combined sheet] of the series 'Republique federale du
Cameroun', 1ere ed. mai 1964, published in Yaounde at the Institut
Geographique National (of Paris) Annexe. It is a 2-color map (black
for topographic detail, blue for drainage) and gives around 15
toponyms which could be considered as belonging to the peninsula.
There is a printed note "Reproduction interdite", but maybe an A4
would be permissable, anyway? Unless anyone else comes up with
something better (and within continental USA!) I shall be happy to
supply xerox via Air Mail.
Sincerely
Francis Herbert (Curator of Maps, RGS, London)
