Also, isn't part of the "legal" Manhattan on the Bronx side of the Harlem River
anyway? If I remember right
from living up there, the Inwood area is part of Manhattan but it's firmly
attached to the Bronx shore.
On the other hand, this may have been due to human intervention --older maps
show the river curving up
a bit further north. Anyone know? And does that mean that New York County
doesn't make the cut as an
"island county"?
