Job description:
Raytheon Information Technology & Scientific Services (ITSS) is a
leading provider of professional services to the scientific
community.  We have an immediate opportunity for a GIS Programmer
to support the NOAA in Silver Spring, (Metro Center II) Maryland.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing GIS as an
integral part of a data display.  Streamline interface between the
database and the GIS platform (ArcView), implementing dynamic SQL
querying from GIS.  Develop a suite of standard ArcView themes that
can be used as building blocks to construct meaningful displays.

The position requires a BS degree or equivalent and a minimum of
2 years' experience with GIS systems and "Avenue" programming
language, knowledge of SQL and fundamental knowledge of RDBMS.
Candidate must have good commuication and organizational skills.

Desired Qualifications are:  BS in Geography, Mathematics or CS and
3+ years' expereince as listed above.  Proficiency in Oracle and
SQL*Net; specific experience with ArcView, ArcInfo, and other ESRI
GIS products.  Familiar with AutoCAD; and basic workstation system
management.  Experience with Sybase or Informix a plus.
