Job description:
GIS Coordinator position will perform professional-level, highly technical and analytical work in planning, organizing and directing a program for the design, development, maintenance, operation, management and control of Spatial Data Base information systesm.  The position will work with other agencies to determine their needs for GIS and suggest directions to complete the task.  The position will also conduct training sessions and support for other county agencies using similar GIS Spatial database applications.  The GIS Coordinator will maintain and manage the subscription for the MapView CD-ROM, and Address CD-ROM, along with other GIS related data requests.  Responsibilities also include design and implementation of mainframe and PC based applications, along with reports using Pick/Basic, Visual Basic and SQL among other ODBC programming environments.  Also, the designing, developing, testing and implementing of Windows-based applications using Object Oriented programming!

 languages.  In addition, work involves installationand configuration of the MapView CD-ROM and provides support through diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Graduation from college with course work in GIS, Spatial Analysis or Computer Science or related field, and 3-5 yrs' experience in GIS, CAMA, or Property Assessment Administration.  Windows programming experience with Pick/Basic, Visual Basic, Delphi or C++ preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
