For all of you who have small children or grandchildren and can't wait to
interest them in cartography and the appreciation of maps as a way of
life....
here is a title that will interest you...

There's a Map on My Lap! Written by Tish Rabe, illustrated by Aristides
Ruiz. Written in the rhyming pattern of Dr. Seuss.
Published by Random House as part of their The Cat in the Hat's Learning
Library, it was published in Sept 2002 in hardback, 48 pages, for US$8.99 ,
ISBN: 0-375-81099-4.

It discusses, among other topics, latitude/longitude, scale, cardinal
directions, and map grids.

Probably time to order it from Barnes & Noble, Borders, or Amazon.
