This is Chris Kollen, Chair of the ALA Map and Geography Round Table. Below
you'll find the preliminary MAGERT schedule for the ALA Midwinter
conference, Jan. 12-16, 2001.
Since we are in Washington, D.C. for Midwinter, we thought it would be a
great opportunity to have a field trip to one of the federal agencies. So
on Tuesday afternoon, January 16th, from 1:15-2:45 pm we've arranged to go
on the Behind the Scenes Tour of the National Archives. I've heard some
great feedback about this tour, so hope you can join us. Let me know if
you're planning on coming, they have a limit of 40 people.
The information below will soon be posted on our web site at
http://www.sunysb.edu/libmap/magert1.htm
<http://www.sunysb.edu/libmap/magert1.htm> . I don't have the locations yet
(except for the reception and field trip), but thought this will help for
your planning. Hope you can join us!
