Subject: Rand McNally non-road map dating system question
Date: Tue, 17 May 2005
From: Susan Moore <[log in to unmask]>
I've got a question.
I have a Rand McNally map of the world and there is no date on the map
or the accompanying material. There is a number on the map, however, and
I know that McNally uses codes for their road maps. Does anyone know if
they use codes for their non-road maps as well?
I went to the web site that explains the codes for the road maps but
sadly this number doesn't match the pattern. The number that appears on
the map is:
A-510000-215- -18-17-37 AP (The -18 is in red ink, the -17 is in blue
ink, and the AP is superscript)
Any help will be appreciated.
