Digital Brown Bag
Today (Wednesday, 11/13)
12:20 - 1:10

Real Time Motion Capture -- David Saltz (Drama Department)
Today in our Digital Brown Bag, David Saltz is going to tell us about an
exciting project he is involved in. The Virtual Vaudeville Project
(that isn't it's official name) will use virtual reality to allow people
to experience live theatre performances from different historical
periods. This NSF funded project is using state-of-the-art motion
capture systems to record then animate actor's performances to be
included in the system. Professor Saltz is one of the creative people
doing wild things with new media technology on campus -- and he is
fun
to listen to. So come join us.
