This is the week of the
"ICE Summit."
April 25-27

Please encourage your students, friends and colleagues to
participate in the ICE Summit events this week. PLease e-mail this to
your student lists and friends.

The ICE Summit  should be a nice culmination of some of our labor and an
important public event. It is also an opportunity to forge important
relationships with partnering programs, to showcase our student and
faculty work and to advance this initiative to the next stage.

NOTES:
A) Lanier will meet with informally with faculty and students at
the Drama Interactive Performance Lab, Fine Arts Building 4-5PM.
LECTURE AT 7:30 University Chapel
B) WE  will begin Thursday at 8:30 AM at the New Media Institute for
Coffee with Scott Shamp and see student interactive works.
C) Graduate Art Students will also provide an Open Studio reception on
Thursday at 5PM at the CEDAR ST ART STUDIOS with Video works
D) Dance will hold a backstage reception after the performances that
begin at 7:30.
E) Roundtables are on Friday Afternoon at Lyndon House Art Center

April 25:

The first real scheduled event is an informal session with Jaron Lanier
atthe Fine Arts Building, Drama Interactive Performance Lab at 4 PM.

JARON LANIERÕS talk is at 7:30 at the University Chapel on North Campus


The Summit

April 26: Thurs. morning: We will begin at the "New Media Institute"
coffee Thursday morning. The New Media Institute will host this event
at their facility: Bank of America Building
110 E. Clayton Street, 5th Floor

I.C.E. Committee Business Meeting:

Working session with UGA members of I.C.E. committee and visitors to
brainstorm future directions and forge collaborations. Informal
presentations about respective programs: Kitchen, New York; Banff
Center for the Arts, Alberta, Canada; Troika Ranch, New York; Cranbrook
Academy of Art, Michigan; The Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta;
John Moores University, Liverpool, England and The University of
Georgia.
