VIDEO-SAVANT
An evening of kick-ass short video works

Friday, May 16th, 2003

6PM – 7PM at Clocked Diner
7PM – 8PM at Flicker Bar and Theater
9PM – On at X Ray Cafe

On May 16th, X Ray Café will be hosting a series of local artist video works in their
neighborhood.
The first hour of art works will be shown at Clocked from 6 - 7 p.m. This selection will
include videos of body or performance works, exploring the nature of the artist and
the video camera. These are unedited pieces in real time. Come watch art and eat
cheesy tater tots!
The second hour will be shown at Flicker from 7 - 8 p.m. This is a compilation of
pieces that explore the phenomenology of video, the trickery of the media. These
pieces are manipulated with editing and effects. Look at video art and have a
martini!
Our finale will be at X Ray Café, 8 pm on. Here we will screen linear narrative
pieces. Some humorous, some with seriousness and others just wacky fiction.

Artists include Ashley Armistead, Brent Buckelew, Merissa Corbet, Josh Crews,
Michael Germon, Chris Giddens, Joel Hatmaker, Jason Huff, Brian Maddox,
Charles McCarthy, Mike McPeek, Laura Rowe, Jennifer Watts, Mark Weathers
Kate Zimmerman.
