Get Artistic Wrap Event and Artist Talk
Wednesday, October 20 from 5-7 PM
Creature Comforts, 271 W Hancock Ave.
https://getcurious.com/events/get-artistic-wrap/

This year, Get Artistic pivoted to fulfill its mission -- to strengthen Athens, Georgia’s creative community -- by investing directly in individual artists more than ever before. The biggest changes came in expanding the Artist-in-Residence program, which provides a local, emerging artist with time and space for developing their creative practice and a $5,000 stipend that includes tuition for an artist-focused professional development certificate program following the residency. Noraa James’ time as the 2021 resident artist concludes on Wednesday, October 20 with an artist talk (5:30-5:50 PM) followed by casual opportunities for connection.
