Holiday Benefit for Canopy Studio

Come to a holiday benefit for Canopy Studio at Tasty World Thursday,
December 12.  The event starts at 8pm with a silent auction of work by local
artists Lou Kregel, Rebecca Wood and many more followed by video projection
by Kevin Hoth, music by Hope for a Golden Summer, Leslie Helpert and the
Sarah O’Brien Band, trapeze and dance performance by Canopy artists and a
dance party with fresh sounds from DJ Nastee.  Proceeds go to support Canopy
Studio’s youth at risk outreach program.

Friday and Saturday, December 13 and 14, 8pm at Canopy Studio
Wherehouse Collective Presents “View Points”: An Evening of Performance Art
and Contemporary Dance

Wherehouse Collective is comprised of five Athens area artists working in
performance art and contemporary dance. The “View Points” evening will
display a range of their work, including solo dance, duet and group dance,
live music and movement collaboration, solo performance art and multimedia
dance performance. The Wherehouse Collective artists are Laura Glenn, Kim
Kleiber, Tara Rebele, Julie Rothschild and Lisa Yaconelli. Athens musician
Leslie Helpert will be performing with Wherehouse Collective in the “View
Points” show. Tickets will be $10.00 at the door with a discounted $8.00
ticket price available to students and working artists. Following the Friday
night performance: victuals and an informal discussion with the artists.
Following the Saturday night performance: reception hosted by Clocked Diner.
