ICE Announcements 3.5.04
ICE is Ideas for Creative Exploration
<http://ice.uga.edu>

1. ICE site expansion
2. The Kitchen Summer Institute
3. CORE Spring Collection
---
1. Some of you may have noticed that the ICE web site is expanding, and now features a "Forum"
section, which can be reached from the main site or at its own address <http://ice.uga.edu/
projects/forum> . The ICE Forum contains calls for exhibitions, performances, papers and
opportunities to attend workshops and conferences. It also has a growing collection of annotated
links to arts research programs, local resources, and sources of funding for new projects. Many
thanks to Lamar Dodd School of Art web developer Joe Willey and ICE interns Deno Ellis and Julie
Orlemanski for their help in this effort.

2. The Kitchen 2004 Summer Institute
New Practices in Performance and Technology

This intensive three-week laboratory offers young artists, age 18-30, the unique opportunity to
investigate site-specific art integrating live performance and new digital technology. Through daily
interaction with some of today's most innovative, multidisciplinary artists, students explore
institutional architectures, urban contexts, and online communities as sites for public action. The
Institute also provides access to The Kitchen's extraordinary video archive of performance
documentation, bringing to light the important explorations that have made The Kitchen a center
