3. Fall Course Opportunity: Critical Thinking: Art and Nuclear Weapons
Critical Thinking
UNIV 1107 (CRN 35601)
T: 2-4:45PM
Instructor: Dr. Sara Kutchesfahani

Are you an upcoming 3rd or 4th year that is good at drawing or animation? Want to be part of writing a graphic novel?

This course is designed to bring together students from across disciplines (including, but not limited to, history, international affairs, creative writing, and art/design) who are interested in fusing art with politics. Specifically, it will foster a space for creative thinking and learning such that by the end of the semester, a prototype of a graphic novel relaying the history of the nuclear weapon will be created. Questions? Contact Dr. Kutchesfahani at [log in to unmask]

4. Opportunity: Arts Writers Grant Programs
Deadline: Wednesday, May 17

The Creative Capital / Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant supports writers whose work addresses contemporary visual art. The program issues awards, ranging from $15,000 to $50,000, directly to individual authors for articles, blogs, books, new and alternative media, and short-form writing projects. We support a broad spectrum of writing on contemporary visual art, from general-audience criticism to academic scholarship.
