Hello ICE skaters,

Hope everyone has had a great thanksgiving break and enough bird for a
while. I know I did. I also know Scott Shamp stayed off the computer
for four whole days and I did too to retreat to four days working in
the studio on paintings and prints.

In case anyone had today ( Nov 27 ) on their calender for an ICE
meeting ( which I had anticipated a meeting of the entire group weeks
ago ) I am writing to let you know it will be cancelled. Since each of
the planning and project groups are meeting on Friday December 1, 2000,
I will happily postpone this meeting until a later date as needed . I
will consult with the Davids on this.

I am most excited about the dialogue underway and will put my vote in
for the second mission statement also, although I might add " and
promotes . "

"The Institute for Advanced Creative Exploration facilitates ( and
promotes ) innovative, interdisciplinary projects that cut across
traditional boundaries in the arts. It explores the creative potential
of technology, promotes critical discourse about its use, and creates
the conditions for "collaborative studio" work."

I also like the fact that it includes criticism and leaves technology
open to new and old technology. Thanks for your energy Julie !
Look forward to seeing you on Friday.

Carmon

Have a good week. Thanks Carmon
