Can someone provide some background info on the above establishment?

Recently I purchased a couple of interesting shells online with labels from "The Shell Shop Ocracoke NC"

I was curious as to who ran the place what years were they open....etc.....the two shells I got were collected in the late 1970s on or near Ocracoke.

There certainly does not appear to be anything resembling a shell shop on Ocracoke at present, but does anybody know if it is possible to buy local shells when there- I've seen some online posts that could be fairly recent that showed neighborhood children who set up little stands selling their finds to tourists.

Thanks.
