Hello Naba,
  The only other possibility that I can think of is very low solar
radiation. That might cause very low kernel filling which would
trigger the model to terminate.
  If it's not the weather data causing the model to terminate, you may
have to look at other things prior to grain filling such as very low
kernel number or leaf area.
  It might also be helpful to give a little more information about the
problem itself such as when (development stage, days after planting,
etc.) does the model terminate, what message is displayed upon
termination, or does the same problem occur if you change the planting
date in the simulation.
  Hope this might shed some light.
