The DSSAT Canegro Validation Workshop will be held from 6 to 9 August 2007 at Mount Edgecombe, South Africa under the auspices of the International Consortium for Sugarcane Modelling (ICSM).

Venue
 Crystal room , SASRI, Mount Edgecombe (please bring own laptops if possible)

Program
 6 and 7 August 2007: Open session: Model validation training within the DSSAT v4 framework
 8 and 9 August 2007: Closed session: Hands on Canegro validation on actual data

Trainers
Prof Jim Jones, Prof Gerrit Hoogenboom, Mr. Matthew Jones

Registration
Open session: Preference will be given to participants of the ICSM project on DSSAT Canegro (no registration free) and then ICSM members (registration fee of US$ 25$).  Non ICSM members are welcome to register after 28 February, which is the cutoff date for ICSM members, if there is still room.

Closed session:  Only for DSSAT Canegro partcipants

Please register by replying to this e-mail and providing the following details:
Full names, job title, organization, availability of laptop and whether you wish to attend both or only the first session.

Arrangements for payment of registration fees will be circulated later
